Your subconscious is what controls you. It gives you guidance, inspiration and has more  memory space than any computer in existence. It reveals names, facts and events when you call upon your memory… It started working when your heart started beating… it controls the circulation of your blood… it converts the food you eat into tissue, muscle, bone, blood and waste.

It never sleeps, never rests, never stops working. You can make it work for you, control it, with a discipline that will be discussed in the next few paragraphs. Read the rest of this entry »

HOW TO CHANGE YOUR LIFE

July 1 , 2010 | | In: Motivational

Why is it that  for some people almost everything they attempt results in success… while others struggle… and yet others fail… regularly… miserably…  In personal relationships… in school… at work…

What is it that differentiates one from the other?

It can’t be physical… because then the best developed, the most muscular, the best looking people would be our leaders… Read the rest of this entry »

When you run an ad and find it breaks even, rather than being discouraged, you should be screaming with joy… provided you know how to exploit such a situation. In the next few paragraphs I’ll explain how you can do exactly that.

Let’s say you’re running a print ad in a publication that has a daily frequency, like a newspaper. Once you’ve established credit with the specific vehicle you wont have to pay for the ad until after it’s published, until after it “breaks.” If the money you take in covers the cost of the fulfilled product and the advertising, you’re at break even. In real estate they say the three most important factors contributing to success are location, location and location… but you’ll agree that location is meaningless if the price is too high… and appropriate price may be meaningless if mortgage rates are not favorable… if zoning is wrong… if occupancy is questionable…

As  you can see,  success in business is dependent upon numerous  and different forces coming together at the same time. It’s not enough to have one or more factors working for you… the slightest overlooked detail can make the difference between success and failure

HOW I GOT STARTED IN DIRECT MARKETING

June 25 , 2010 | | In: Direct Marketing

Two miscellaneous credits (plus the required courses), was all I needed to qualify for a Bachelors Degree… so in looking at the course offerings I took Marketing 101. It required a term paper instead of a final exam.

After two weeks the professor handed out the topic assignments and I got The Mail Order Business. After class I approached and told him I was majoring in Management with a minor in Industrial Engineering and asked if I could do a paper on something involving heavy industry instead of this kitchen table business. “You can do the paper or drop the course” he said. It was too late to drop the course… so the Mail Order Business it was!
